History
Reflexology dates back many thousands of years to the Chinese, North American Indians and Egyptians. Modern day Reflexology was developed by Dr William Fitzgerald and advanced by Eunice Ingham in the 1930s. Eunice mapped out the reflex points on the foot and designed the foot charts on which todays reflexology is based.
Treatment Reflexology works on the concept that there are reflexes in the hands and feet which correspond to all the organs, glands and parts of the body. It is a unique method of using the fingers and thumbs on these reflexes which has a stimulating and balancing effect on the body. Reflexology improves the blood circulation and nerve impulses and unblocks energy pathways. It is a safe therapy for people of all ages including young children, pregnant women, the elderly and the terminally ill.
